Expansions Warp's Edge: Anomaly
Warp's Edge: Viren Invasion

You are Taylor Minde, rookie pilot of the Force’s Outer Rim. After a crucial battle you are stranded far away from your fleet, lost and alone. With resources running low you jump through warp gate after warp gate hoping to find the right combination home.

But home is not what you find. The warp takes you further out in the galaxy than the Force has ever gone. You are deep behind enemy lines and find yourself on the edge of a blackhole... and on the doorstep of the enemy’s mighty mothership.

You have a moment of bravery and approach the enemy’s fleet. Just maybe you can get through them and destroy the mothership... but before you have a chance to react the enemy is already upon you. Lasers fire. Photon cannons pierce through the blackness. A moment later your shields are gone, your laser battery empty, and your hull damage. Your powerless ship splits apart as you fall from the enemy and into the black hole below.

Just as your ship crests gravity’s edge you and infinite blackness takes hold... you are back where you started. The enemy fleet is before you. The mothership looming in the distance. And, most importantly, your laser battery is full. You have a second chance at the edge of space and now you know what’s coming...

Decent, but not for me

I got Warp's Edge as an entry title in my solo board gaming adventure because it gets recommended left and right, and it turned out to not be for me. I initially figured it was because I wasn't used to board gaming yet, but no matter how many times I try it, I just get bored and move to a different game. It's a decent bag building game, but it just doesn't build up any excitation over time for me and I don't see myself picking it back up anytime soon.

Despite this, I do feel that it indeed is a good game to start with for the price to get started with solo board gaming. It's easy to set up, offers quite a bit of variety with different bosses, and is simple to understand. Chances are most people will enjoy it. It remains a good entry title.

Good solo game for new player

Inexpensive, fun and fluid gameplay, with a lot of replayability. The inserts for token storage make setup and takedown fairly easy and quick. The story book provide some background and setup choices, but I do wish the campaign is a bit more elaborate. I deducted a star because I found the artwork a bit amateurish, and sleeved cards wouldn't fit in the insert.

Great Solo Game

Excellent game. Finally tabled it after having it on the shelf for months. I'm not a solo gamer, but it was great fun. Can't wait to play again. There is a ton of variety in the box that will keep me busy for a long time without having to buy the expansion. (I will...)
