Expansion Taluva Extension (French Edition)

In
Taluva, players place tiles consisting of volcanoes and other terrain. Tiles can be placed adjacent to other tiles or on top of other tiles. Thus, the island expands outward and upward during the course of the game. At the same time, the players are trying to settle their peoples on the island by building huts, temples and towers. Each building type has a different restriction regarding placement. The game ends when all the land tiles have been played or when a player builds all of his buildings in two of the three types.

A great spatial game

Taluva is an abstract game of placing tiles and then placing your pieces. It is somewhat like Carcassonne but the pieces are only removed if they die (something you don’t usually care too much about). Your goal is to get all your pieces out of your stockpile.

The twist is that the board expands both horizontally and vertically with volcanoes exploding and the tiles being placed on top of each other.

Adding the third dimension makes for a great spatially demanding tactile game, particularly at two players.

Glad I ran across this game. Super fun building the island.
