He and Dodger closer Kenley Jansen (47 saves, .150 BA against, 13.6 K/9) helped make this the Year of the Reliever, when WHIPS below 1.00 and K/9 rates above 12 were common – a year when power pitching and big swingers made this the highest strikeout season ever.
