This is an educational toy. There is an awesome storybook and challenges. Best as a solo experience. Be aware of what it is you’re buying. That said this is top tier for what it is.
The description here currently doesn't mention that the insert only leaves enough space for one of the two game boards (if you have the expansion), and only 4 faction boards. If you want 5 faction boards, you'll get a couple mm of lid lift, and if you want to store all the faction boards in the box, it's gonna be pretty lifted and you'll still need to store the second game board somewhere else.
On the plus side, you don't really need the base game map once you have the expansion, and 4 players is the idea player count.
My family has had so much fun with this game that I bought another copy to give as a gift.
Classic dungeon crawl elements with a heavy serving of childhood whimsy. A great gateway to the genre.
Why think twice about purchasing this game? Sagrada artisans is a legacy type of game. Which means it's not meant for everyone. A legacy style of game is one that you play intensely with a select group of people willing to play as much as you do on a very short period of time. When it's done, the game is good for the recycling bin. It basically has no second life. This is the reason i returned it, asked for refund which i'm still waiting for btw. I'm very disappointed about that aspect of the game. I initially believed the company thought of making a variation of the the game a bit like Azul has several variations with slight changes. Am I persuaded the game is good? I have no doubt about it. Am I going to spend 100$ on a game I will play once and throw into the recycling bin? No.
