Maracaibo Metal Coins

These are really nice, thick, heavy coins! A huge improvement over the cardboard coins included with the game. However, I was very disappointed to discover that this set does not include the same number of coins as the game dictates. There are only 14 x 1 (instead of 18), 11 x 2 (instead of 16), and 23 x 5 (instead of 24)! It seems so odd that they would provide 10 fewer coins than the game comes with - especially at the price! This means you have to continually, unnecessarily, trade in your smaller change to avoid running out. I would have preferred twice as many value 1 coins, and half as many value 5.

I ordered two sets of these coins for general use as well as Maracaibo. I love Maracaibo and I find metal coins enhances game play for me. These coins are beautiful. They are thick and heavy for an overall great tactile experience. Would recommend these coins.
