This game is quite fun and the rules are not as finicky as some of the other COIN offerings, making it more suitable for introducing others (especially non-wargamers) to the system. There is a small learning curve but an experienced player could explain the mechanics quickly to new players. The mechanics of the bots also make it a treat to play solo as it twists the player around. You think you're in a losing position when suddenly momentum shifts, and you're back in the game, racing for the finish.
With expansions coming out for it, it also looks like it will have longer life with the addition of new scenarios much like what they did with Labyrinth. Fantastic!
The Party Leader of the Necromancers is OP though. We sometimes agree to leave that one out.
Love playing Camel Up with my Grandkids. This game is shorter but a lot more strategy than Camel Up. Game mechanics pretty much the same. But players put cards into the draw deck. In Camel up, you have an idea of which dice might come out to move the camels. In Camel Up the card game, you put in three cards and your opponent puts in three cards to move the camels. So you do not really know which camel might move. Found it a lot of fun and far more strategic! Definitely recommend it as a quick , strategy type game.
I have this game in my collection, and I bought it for my adult nephew and nieces who have started board gaming with a group of friends after visiting my place over march break. They love it! The fact that all the players are rolling dice and collecting resources whether it is your turn or not is always engaging. They have gotten other friends into the hobby since receiving this!
Fantastic Service and Price. Came in really good packaging. Thanks!
