You are a paperback author trying to finish novels for your editor. Complete Westerns, Science Fiction, Romance or even the rare Best-Seller. Live the dream — and maybe pay the bills.

Word-building meets deck-building in the unique game Paperback. Players start with a deck of letter cards and wild cards. Each hand they form words, and purchase more powerful letters based on how well their word scored. Most letters have abilities that activate when they are used in a word, such as drawing more cards or double letter score. Players buy wilds to gain victory points. Variant included for cooperative play.

Print and Play English Edition is no longer available. Print and Play German Edition is available on the game's web site.

I enjoy it a lot

Like someone else said it's Dominion meets Scrabble. My wife loves Scrabble, I don't. This is our happy medium.

A wonderful word game that offers a unique take on scrabble

Interesting game

Good design, just not for me as I am terrible at word games. Those who are love it.

A great blending.

Strategy doesn't mean anything if you can't form words. Let unskilled players use a phone for help.

Dominion meets Scrabble

I never would have imagined that these two games could be blended together to create a game like Paperback, which in my opinion is better than either of those two! It both scratches the itch of gamers who like deck-building as a mechanic while at the same time can draw in people who are more comfortable with word/spelling games. Paperback is not as punishing as either Dominion or Scrabble to newcomers and is easy to teach. The artwork is an added bonus as it is quite cute and humourous to boot!
