Expansion For Spirit Island
Spirit Island: Jagged Earth

Since time untold, Spirits have existed on the Island. There are Spirits whose names are known by the local Dahan people — Spirits of growth and fire, of strength and river. But these are not the only Spirits… Legends whispered on the rarest of days tell stories of Spirits from the deepest, furthest reaches of the land. Powerful forces of nature that have not been witnessed in ages.

When white-sailed ships reach our coastal waters, when would-be colonizers step foot onto the unblighted shores, when they raise blade and plow to claim the land with greed and hunger, nature stirs. When Invaders strike out at the heart of the Island, they draw the attention of Spirits of myth and legend and face power unimaginable.

This time, they learn to fear Nature Incarnate.

Spirit Island: Nature Incarnate introduces eight new Spirits, twenty new aspects, and so much more.

Another Excellent SI Expansion

For fans of Spirit Island like me, it feels essentially impossible to have too much of a good thing. We really love this game, and this expansion brings more of what we love.

The new spirits that we have played so far are interesting, as are the new aspects for the older spirits. The new Incarna mechanic is interesting, providing the feeling of having a physical presence on the island for the spirits/aspects that use it, without feeling like it puts those who do not at a disadvantage.

If, like me, you can't get enough of this game, I'm sure you will enjoy this expansion. If Spirit Island isn't for you, or if you find the base game is pushing the limits of your personal preference in terms of complexity, this expansion isn't going to change that so you should probably give it a miss.
