Suggested Age 10 and up

The Castles of Tuscany is a standalone game that might resemble The Castles of Burgundy in some way.

The beautiful Tuscany region, in the 15th century, is the home of the Italian Renaissance. As influential princes, the players make creative decisions to build their region into a flourishing domain.

By supporting towns, villages, and monasteries, or by extracting marble and delivering goods, players see their lands grow, earning them victory points. Each round, players use cards to place useful tiles to expand their regions and gain new opportunities.
The winner is the person who has the most victory points after three rounds of play.

A lighter alternative to Castles of Burgundy

This is a medium-light strategy game that takes a lot of inspiration from the Castles of Burgundy. We really enjoyed our plays of this and would highly recommend as a good introduction to Stefan Feld games.

Castles of Burgundy, but for the masses.

I bought this because I love Castles of Burgundy, but it isn't the easiest game to pull out to play with just anyone. Castles of Tuscany helps open that gate in a beautiful way, while being a wonderful new experience in it's own right.

Castles of Burgundy meets Ticket to Ride

This game cannot go without be compared to its older brother, The Castles of Burgundy.

Depending on what they like about CoB, fans may or may not enjoy Castles of Tuscany. It has the Burgundy feel with many streamlined elements.

As for me, I feel the game is sufficiently different from each others to justify owning both.
