The Fox in the Forest is a trick-taking game for two players. Aside from the normal ranked- and suited-cards used to win tricks, fairy characters such as the Fox and the Witch have special abilities that let you change the trump suit, lead even after you lose a trick, and more.

You score points by winning more tricks than your opponent, but don't get greedy! Win too many tricks, and you will fall like the villain in so many fairy tales...

Okay but there are better . . .

It's an okay 2 player trick taking game. Would we break it out often? No. Why? There's not a lot to this game really. It's a slightly more dynamic trick taking game than Euchre but there are a dozen other trick taking games that I find better - Wizard being one of them.

King of two player trick taking games

We love our trick taking games and usually will try to get four people around the table to play our favorites, however when it's just the wife and I, nothing beats this little Gem. We love the theme, the artwork, the game arc and replayability. 5 stars all around.

Great trick taking experience

My husband and I enjoy this little trick taking game. The scoring methods and special cards provide more strategy than you might think! A great couples' game.
