Bicycle Playing Cards - Nerts

Since learning about this game, I have taught it to my spouse, my mom, my uncles, cousins, friends. They ask for it repeatedly. In nine months, it is now my second most played in person game.

That said, it's a set of playing cards decks. So, on the one hand, you can use it for any standard card game. On the other hand, why get this version rather than cobbling together decks of playing cards? Well... having a dedicated set is handy if to play it lots. Also the card backings are chosen to be distinct.

There are two sets readily available, this one and a twelve deck set. Both have good cards, but this set with the bicycle cards is better with a floatiness to the cards. This set is more compact (obviously). The 8 colors are more distinct than the twelve. I find nertz at 9-10 players to be a chaotic mess so this set is sufficient and travels a bit better... but then again you can just add in other playing card decks with district backings on the rare occasions you play 9-12 players so it's not a major flaw!

Anyways, highly recommended. And the price here at bgbliss is good.
