Daybreak is a co-operative game about climate action. Each player controls a world power, deploying policies and technologies to both dismantle the engine of global heating and to build resilient societies that protect people from life-threatening crises.

If the global temperature gets too high, or if too many people from any world power are in crisis, everyone loses. But if you work together to draw down global emissions to net-zero, you all win!

A well-crafted, challenging game incorporating just enough hope for our planet to not be depressing

Not for the faint of heart, Daybreak has a ton of details to learn and keep track of during the game. The first few times we played it felt easy to win, but then we realized where we misinterpreted rules or accidentally ignored local project limits. Back on track for subsequent games, it became much more challenging, yet it continues to intrigue and inspire hope to keep trying again to find new angles to tackle the problems that arise.
