Expands Boss Monster: Master of the Dungeon

Note: This is the Second Printing

Tools of Hero-Kind
is a 25-card mini-expansion for Boss Monster: Master of the Dungeon.

With the introduction of Item cards, Tools of Hero-Kind will transform the adventurers exploring your dungeon. They'll go from being a resource that you harvest into an undeniable threat. Magical weapons, armor, items and scrolls will attach themselves to Heroes as they come into town and confer their "Power-Up" abilities. Of course, with bigger risks come bigger rewards. Should you manage to defeat a hero carrying an Item, you'll be able to use the one-time "Reward" effect of that item to further your own nefarious goals.

Gives the game much needed challenge

I'd say this is the only expansion really worth getting for this game. It gives the game some added difficulty that really makes it more interesting.
Every round, a new item is added to a hero that can wield it, if no hero is available to wield it, it stays on hold until a hero shows up who can. It makes the heroes much more difficult to defeat and gives you a nice bonus if you can defeat them.
It turned a decent game into a more interesting one. The other expansions seem to just add more cards than change the way the game is played.

Okay expansion

Adds some new dynamics to the game, but not enough to be a necessary expansion.
