Good game for kids and parents

My 7yo enjoys this game. Takes about 30 minutes for three of us to play. She’s able to play strategies that give her a real shot at winning versus parents who are also fully playing to win. Wish there were more cards as they get a bit repetitive, but maybe that’s because we’ve played it so many times.

Great gateway game for kids

My grandson is 9 and loves to play board games with us. This game is a great introduction to worker placement, tableau and engine building. He loved it and we’ll try him with Everdell and similar games soon.

Fun title

I've played this game a few times with my daughter (5). It's enjoyable, with a little bit of competition for resources and some skill in how to develop your engine. There are options to balance the game depending upon the players skill level which work quite well. There is a bit of luck involved but not so much that its frustrating. I think this is one of the better distilled versions of a board game intended for younger audiences.

Great adaptation of the original game

Great with kids, even younger ones, without being boring for adults.
Great visuals and materials (as all everdell stuff).
Crates for resources are a bit small, makes it hard for my big fingers to grab something when there are few resources left, but it's a detail. :P

More luck and less mechanics than the original game makes it a good adaptation for younger kids(6-7yo).

Best one yet

My daughter is 8. I’m trying to get her into board games past the lame ones. This one is her most requested. I do let her win, but I let her win most games for now, and still this is what she requests. Also a great intro to teaching adults everdell. Just a quicker game to get them into the concepts. Super happy with this purchase. I highly recommend.
