My husband and I have now completed 2 full games out of 3 - it's a card game with clues and puzzles that need to be completed in order to save the people at the end of the game. Each game is complete in itself however it is a series. Some puzzles are easy enough, but others are quite difficult to figure out - there are hints available but then "points" are lost. Overall, I'm glad we purchased these.
I have been playing the campaign version of this game over Table Top Simulator so your actual mileage with the physical game can vary. From my time with it, the campaign mode provided by the blighted reach expansion is a great experience! Unlike the base game which is very tactical, sum zero and vicious, in the campaign you frequently cooperate with your opponents for mutual benefit and have more time to make plans and realize them. Personally, I really do recommend getting at least 3-5 games of base arcs under your belt before diving into the campaign, but once you do it really can provide a lot to enjoy, both in the moment and long, long after the games end.
