Simply a great game; it's no wonder it won so many prizes and accolades upon release. Easy to pick up, good for most ages, and enough depth to keep it interesting. A minimal degree of luck or skill required, makes it so even terrible players don't fall too far behind and get discouraged. I've never seen this game be received negatively when introducing it... even to people who "hate" tabletop games.
"A peaceful area majority game" is the most succinct way I can think to describe this very original offering by Elizabeth Hargrave. I did not like Wingspan that much, but I do enjoy this one. The solo mode reproduces a 3-player game (the best player count for this game) rather effectively.
