In the card game Gangs Of Kyoto, the goal of the game is simple: be the first to have banked 13 bells before anyone else.

The cards in the game represent bells, clever little powers or nothing at all. They also all have a numerical value from 0 to 5.

On their turn, the active player deals cards one by one to the players around the table, including themselves.
Each card is added in value to the previous one received in another round, and as soon as a player reaches or exceeds 13, the round ends, he "jumps" and allows the other players to "bank" all their bells cards.

Dans le jeu de cartes Gangs Of Kyoto, le but du jeu est simple, être le premier à avoir banqué 13 grelots avant les autres.
Les cartes du jeu représentent des grelots, des petits pouvoirs malins ou rien du tout. Elles ont également toutes une valeur chiffrée comprise entre 0 et 5.

À son tour de jeu, le joueur actif donne une à une des cartes aux joueurs autour de la table, y compris lui.
Chaque carte s'additionne en valeur à la précédente reçue dans une autre manche et dès qu'un joueur atteint ou dépasse 13, la manche prend fin, il "saute" et permet aux autres joueurs de "banquer" toutes leurs cartes Grelots.

Ce petit jeu de cartes un peu chafouin propose une revisite familiale du célèbre Black Jack et les illustrations de Jérémie Fleury portent l'ambiance : les choix sont bien là et l'envie d'en enchainer les parties également.

Welcome back to the Istanbul Bazaar!

Once again, players take on the role of shrewd merchants whose goal is to gather goods and lira, then trade them for the precious rubies needed to win. In Istanbul: Choose & Write, instead of a common set of locations in the middle of the table, each player has a bazaar in front of them as a game plan, a personal tracking sheet where players will mark their choices as they play.

On their turn, players must choose to play either a Location card or a Guild card. Location cards will allow all merchants to perform the action of the specified location, or the action of an adjacent space on their sheet. If a player would rather prevent others from taking this follow action, they can instead play a Guild card, which is expensive but triggers powerful effects.

Developer Stefan Brück at alea describes Las Vegas as "an easy, dice-rolling, fun-and-luck game with a lot of interaction and 'schadenfreude'". Who doesn't love schadenfreude? (Well, other than those being schadened, I suppose...)

In more detail, Las Vegas includes six cardboard casino mats, one for each side of a normal six-sided die. For each mat, players draw money cards until at least $50k is showing, but the amount may end up being a lot more, making that casino more desirable.

Each player has eight dice of a different color, which they take turns rolling. When you roll your dice, you can choose to place them on the relevant casino cards; for example, a die showing a 1 will be placed on the casino mat marked "1". You must place all dice of one number on one casino in your turn. All players take turns doing this until all the dice have been used. Finally, the player with the most dice on each casino card takes the money associated with it. In case of a tie, the next non-tied player takes the highest-valued money card at that casino.

Las Vegas rates a 1 out of 10 on alea's difficulty scale.

Growing food in your own garden, keeping livestock yourself — self-sufficiency is all the rage, but running an actual farm with a successful farm shop is a much bigger challenge than that.

In the family game My Farm Shop, players can live through that experience without leaving the house. Three dice are thrown in each turn. With one die, the active player selects a new expansion for their farm, and the combination of the other two dice dictates which field will be activated on the farm — not only for the active player, but for all others as well. The expansions enhance the actions that players use to milk cows, shear sheep, harvest honey, or collect eggs, and these raw materials can then be sold. Nocturnal Creatures adds a new set of creature cards (Banshees) to the game, and a new mechanic for Wisps.

Wisps
During set up, a Wisp token is placed face down every 5 points on the scoring track, up to space 50 (there are 11 wisp tiles, so one will not be used). Then, all of the tokens are turned over, and the 2-3 "Wisp" tokens are left on their space on the score track. Whenever a player reaches or passes over that space on the track, they may choose from one of the face up Wisp tiles, which gives them an immediate bonus.

Banshees
The expansion comes with 16 banshee cards, 1 in each color for each of the 4 reward types.

Steal: If possible, all players must give a gem of the corresponding color to the player.

Resurrect: Search the discard pile and take a card of your choice (placing in in your discard pile as normal).

Wisped: Take one of the available Wisp tiles and receive the reward immediately.
Card Switch: Destroy the played Banshee card and take a card from the display directly into your hand. Since the Banshee card is destroyed, the other card is placed in your discard pile regardless of number.

Rune Stones is a deck-building, hand management game by acclaimed designer Rüdiger Dorn. In Rune Stones, every card has a unique number on it. Two cards are always played together, and the higher numbered card is removed from the player's deck. You have to be careful which cards you buy and how you play them to not lose your best cards. Players will use their cards to gather gems, forge them into Artifacts, then combine those into Rune Stones, which grants a special ability for the rest of the game. The more artifacts used in making a Rune Stone, the more points it scores, so players must decide whether it is best to gain abilities early or save to score more points.

On your turn, you may choose from one of three options:

1. Summon Creatures: Take new creature cards from the display by playing the appropriate amount of spell power from cards in your hand.

The first player to 65 points triggers the end of the game, and then the player with the most points at the end of the round is the winner.

Longhorns graze on the meadows, but if a settlement is built, they must move to somewhere else. Sometimes that goes without any problems, but if you push too hard it can cause problems for everyone.

Fortunately caravans visits the settlements with new supplies. Trade with them, so you can easily get other goods. Finally ranches are built in the settlements. To build a ranch is a great investment, but it unlocks a permanent special ability. Ranches also provide considerable prestige and that is needed to win the game.

The expansion consists of three module which can be combined with the base game and any other expansion.

Players need to build 3 ranches and 12 settlement to win the game.
Rances cost a lot of resources but give player special abilities during the game.

"Jambo is the friendly greeting Swahili traders offered their customers in Central Africa before colonization. Players take on the role of merchants offering their wares from market stands. On a player's turn, he has five actions to choose from. Actions can be used to draw cards, play cards and activate buildup cards.

In order to sell wares, the merchants must first lay the wares out, since customers will only buy where all the wares they want are being offered. And since market space is at a premium, players have to think hard about which wares to offer.

By owning important buildup cards and properly using the assets of other village inhabitants, the merchants succeed in attracting especially many customers to their stalls, making bargain buys, and messing with their opponents' plans.

The first player to reach a set cash level through buying and selling of wares is the winner.

The game's attraction lies with the many special cards. Many different combinations are possible during the game, and each game plays out differently as a result.

The adventurers have set off from their camps to scout the surrounding land. Each temple and pyramid they find can reward them with valuable treasures as long as they have control over the tile at the end of the game.

Of course, once found, no player wants to lose their newly discovered buildings, so use caution. The other players are aware of the opportunity that has arisen, and the newly gained fortune may be lost again just as quickly to another player.

Expedition Luxor is a re-imagination of designer Rüdiger Dorn's older family game Robber Knights, with new artwork that fits the world of Luxor and bigger cardboard tiles than the original game. What were knights that conquered the surrounding land are now adventurers who discover temples and pyramids to claim the treasures within.

On the hunt for priceless treasures, groups of adventurers explore the legendary temple at Luxor. Their ultimate goal is the tomb of the pharaoh, but many treasures can be collected as they search. As they explore, the challenge unfolds: The player who manages to quickly get their team of adventurers to the tomb, while salvaging as many treasures as possible, will be the winner.

In Luxor, players move their adventurers through the temple with the goal of reaching the tomb in the middle of the game board. At the start of the game each player gets dealt 5 cards, which he is not allowed to change the order of.

In each round players take turns that consist of 3 actions:

1. Choose either the left or right most card to play to the discard pile.

According to the played card move, one adventurer that many tiles forward towards the tomb. An adventurer only moves from tile to tile, jumping over empty spaces and not counting them.

2. When the adventurer has completed his movement, he performs the action of that tile, if possible. Depending on the tile this can have various effects:

Treasure tile - If enough of a players adventurers player are placed on a tile, the player can collect that tile and earn points for it. Additionally he keeps the tile, trying to collect treasure sets consisting of the three different treasure kinds, vase, statue and necklace.

Horus tile - The player can either gain a key or a Horus Card. He will need the key to enter the tomb and the special Horus card offers unique and strong ways to move his adventurers once he plays that card.

Osiris tile - The tile acts as an catapult instantly moving the adventurer a certain amount of tiles forward.

Temple tile - On these tiles players get special bonuses, like scarabs that are worth victory points or joker tiles, which complete treasure sets. The most unique tile is the tunnel. If an adventurer lands on a tunnel he instantly gets teleported to the next tunnel in play, creating a shortcut through the temple.

3. After performing the action of the tile, players draw one card from the draw pile to refill their hand to five cards. The drawn card is placed in the middle of the hand.

At the start of the game, players can chose to move one of 2 adventurers. Every time an adventurer crosses over an Anubis statue for the first time he gains a new adventurer which is placed at the start.

The game ends once two adventurers reach the tomb. But in order to get in the tomb and collect the valuable sarcophagi, players need to have a key, which they collect from landing on Horus tiles. One key is needed for each adventurer wanting to enter the tomb.

The round is finished and then the game ends with a final scoring.

The player who now has the most points is the winner!
