The Acts (Deluxe Edition) |
The Acts returns with the all new Letters from Rome expansion. Compatible with both the first edition and deluxe edition copies of the base game, Letters from Rome offers new strategies for adding believers as you can now travel all the way to Italia on your mission. Along with a sideboard depicting Italia as a seventh accessible region, there are epistles that can be delivered, tithes generated by churches, and more to take into account as you spread the word.
Letters from Rome remains a tight, worker placement game with multiple paths to victory. In addition to the actions from the base game, players can now gain coins as tithes from their churches, and collect epistles for both immediate rewards and set collection end game bonuses. Coins can be used to book passage to Rome, enlarge your churches, and to feed and care for the crowds while preaching. Beware, hording coins can lead to corruption, costing you believers over time.
Take on the added challenges as you spread from Judea throughout the Roman Empire to share the gospel message. Although true to the Bible, no Biblical knowledge is required to play and enjoy.

Soar high upon your wings, like an eagle, as you seek to escape the clutches of king Minos. But beware, fly too high and the sun will melt the wax that holds your wings together... fly too low and the moisture from the sea will make the feathers too heavy to keep you aloft.
Flight of Icarus is a fast-paced strategy game for 2-4 players in which you live out the classic Icarus myth. Build your wings, then brave the elements as you attempt to fly from Crete to the Greek mainland. During the first phase of the game you will collect wax and feathers using an action point system, managing these resources as you craft your wings. You may also play innovations to aid you during your flight. Then, you will take to the air, struggling against both the weather and your fellow fliers during the tactical phase of the game. Bid for the oracle's favor, that allows you to play weather cards and act first, as you jockey for position in the air.
An engaging mixture of strategic resource management and take-that mechanics, Flight of Icarus is fully language independent during play. Even should you fail in your flight, there is no player elimination, so you can still attempt to stop your competition from reaching the other shore.

The Acts: Letters from Rome |
Christ has ascended to Heaven. The disciples have waited in Jerusalem for the coming of the Holy Spirit. Now, filled with its power, they embark upon the great commission, to spread the gospel message throughout Judea, and to the ends of the earth.
In The Acts, you take on the role of disciples in the early church. Starting in Judea, you can spread throughout the Roman Empire, sharing the gospel in the goal of saving souls. Each turn you can preach, pray, plant churches, write letters, disciple others, and perform mighty miracles. Race to reach the farthest provinces first, or focus your strategy around the spiritual gifts you have prayed for. With multiple paths to victory, every game is unique. The game board features the familiar map of the first missionary journeys and each card in the game highlights scripture passage. The Acts is faithful to the Bible, yet requires no biblical knowledge to play and enjoy.

Builders of Blankenburg: Cutthroat Builders of Blankenburg: Fields & Flocks |
The year is 1123. A new count has been given dominion over the settlement of Blankenburg. People are coming to the town from the surrounding countryside in hopes of a better life. You have seen an opportunity to make your fame and fortune as the town is built.
In Builders of Blankenburg you are competing to construct the town and earn the most prestige while doing so. Each player takes on a persona which provides a unique benefit during the game. You begin the game with some basic resources and a small amount of silver. While all structures can earn you prestige, only building what the town's citizens demand will earn you the silver necessary to bid for and purchase more resources. Each turn consists of four phases:
The game introduces the citizen track, a growing group of town folk that allows all players to see which structures will earn them income. It also serves to signal the end of the game once the town is full. The town is split into four districts, each limited in size and awarding bonuses at the end of the game for anyone who controls more of a district than their opponents. If there are no other plots on which to build, the game also ends. Beware, while the citizens are known, the best laid plans can be ruined by events and visitors to the town. The player with the greatest prestige at the end of the game is declared the winner.
