Offensive Roads: Stalingrad is a wargame for 2 players covering the 1942-43 winter campaign on the Soviet South Front. The game begins with the outbreak of the Uranus offensive in late November 1942 and ends with Manstein's counter-attack in March 1943.
The game is aligned with the 'Roads' series, which features the titles Liberty Roads and Victory Roads (published by Hexasim). The system will be familiar to players who have enjoyed the first two games, but it has been adapted to take into account all the specifics of the campaign (the supply of the Stalingrad pocket, management of the Stavka,...).

Offensive Roads: Stalingrad has four scenarios.

Edge of the Abyss: 17 turns. The full campaign.
Wintergewitter: this small two-turn scenario is ideal for getting started with the system, but is also a challenge for both players.
Manstein's Backhand Blow: a short but intense scenario to maneuver the elite German armored forces and save a desperate situation.
Star and Gallop : Starting in February 1943, this scenario shows the end of the campaign from the surrender of the 6th Army. A real game within the game, it allows players to discover these very little simulated offensives and opens up a situation rich in opportunities for the Soviet player.

Step into the historical battleground of the Russo-Japanese War that unfolded on land and sea at the turn of the 20th century with Port Arthur, an engaging strategy game designed for 2 players, offering a playing time of 40-60 minutes. Players have the option to take command of the Japanese forces, or assume the role of the Russians forces, the contender. Can you, in the span of 6 turns, assert control over more zones than your opponent and emerge victorious in this historic conflict?

The heart of naval supremacy lies in the intricacies of ship management. Each vessel in the game possesses three key attributes, while a group of ships belonging to one side within a Sea Area is collectively referred to as a Fleet.

The gameplay unfolds in a structured turn sequence featuring various phases. From Fleet sortie, Operational Phase, and Scoring Phase to the Return to Port Phase and the advancement of the turn marker, each step is critical to success.

Victory conditions add depth to the challenge. A major victory is claimed if, by the end of the sixth turn, the Japanese fail to establish an army in Mukden. Alternatively, the player whose side of the Points of Control (POC) track the marker resides on emerges as the victor, with POCs, representing victory points, that shift dynamically as players gain or lose control of sea zones.

Contents:

  • 1 A3 Game board
  • 6 Meeple soldiers
  • 6 Dice
  • 50 Ship counters
  • 4 Markers
  • 1 Game turn track
  • 1 Rulebook

We Are Coming, Nineveh! is a tactical/operational-level game of the Iraqi government campaign to liberate the western area of the city of Mosul from the forces of Daesh between 19 February and 9 July 2017. This was one of the largest and most difficult urban operations of the post-WWII era, and marked a major defeat for Daesh and its so-called “Islamic State.” The game is thus able to combine low complexity (and hence be accessible to even neophyte wargamers) with a rich and detailed treatment of this important battle.

Unlike most wargames where there is a single measure for victory or loss, We Are Coming, Nineveh assesses three key aspects of the campaign: the speed at which the operation is completed, the casualties suffered by Iraqi government forces, and the collateral damage done to Mosul. One might outperform the historical case, capturing the Old City faster—but at a terrible civilian cost. ]]>

Gameplay overview
"Saigon 75" is a simple and swift strategic wargame, simulating the fratricidal struggle between North and South Vietnam from summer 1973 to spring 1975. Everything is contained within a few pages of rules and 1 hour of strategy, with pressure at every moment! The game portrays the differences between North Vietnamese divisions and the Rangers/Marines/Parachutists and other units of the South Vietnamese. Air power and desertion are also featured, with the whole thing being completed by event cards that give the game great replayability. An ingenious mix that provides a game on tenterhooks right up to the last turn! If, at the end of any turn, the North player controls Saigon province the game ends with a North victory. The South player wins by successfully defending Saigon until the end of Turn 8.

Solo Rules
In the solo mode, you play the South, while the North is controlled by a deck of cards (AI). There is not a lot of difference between the solo and two-player modes in terms of the rules and the winning condition. During each turn, there are phases (movement, attack, etc.) where the AI draws one card and does a specific action. ]]>

Fitna: The Global War in the Middle East is a two- to six-player grand strategic level card-driven wargame depicting the military confrontations in the Middle East since 2012, up to the near future. Among 10 historical and hypothetical scenarios, players can simulate the war against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the Kurdish Rebellion, the Sunni versus Shia confrontation as well as Russian, Turkish, Israeli and Western intervention in the region. ISIS troops are activated through Event cards.

This wargame allows you to have a clearer view of the local protagonists' goals and a real understanding of what is going on in this chaotic area. This is why it is used by experts and analysts of the French Ministry of Defence to test prospective scenarios, as the iconic “Gulf Strike” used to be by US experts to plan the Gulf War.

Each turn represents two months of real time and is divided into several phases allowing players to play events, to take reinforcements, to check supply, to spend operational points, to move units (mostly brigades and divisions) and to launch offensives. Each player gets 4 cards in hand allowing him or her to use them carefully either for creating events, spending operational points or supporting battles.

The A1 map represents the Fertile Crescent (Kuwait, Iraq, Syria & Lebanon) and parts of Iran, Israel, Turkey, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. It is a point to point map containing 113 boxes depicting clear, mountainous, swamp and urban terrains, as well as oilfields and objectives.

The 3 countersheets include a complete OB for all the potential belligerents, from tenacious Iranian “Al Qods” to the redoutable Israeli Armored divisions, alongside Saudi, Turkish, Iraqi, Syrian, Lebanese, US, French, British, Jordan and Gulf Monarchies units, including Kurdish and jihadist troops as well as all local militias (Sunni, Shia, Al Shams, Hezbollah…).

While using the same basic game system as “Bloody Dawn: the Iran-Iraq War” designed by Pierre Razoux, Fitna — "fitna" meaning "schism" in Arabic — includes many new rules, assets and events characteristic of current wars in this region. An International Tension track simulates the growing tension leading to the arrival of extra reinforcements and the massive military intervention of the United States of America.

Rules allow the two to six players to tackle 10 variously sized scenarios, from 2 to 6 hours of play, focusing either on historical or hypothetical ones.

The 10 scenarios are:
· “The civil war in Syria: 2012-2013” (tutorial for 2 players / 6 turns)
· “The fight against ISIS: 2014-2015” (2-4 players / 6 turns)
· “Russian intervention in Syria and the PKK rebellion in Turkey: 2015-2016” (2-4 players / 6 turns)
· “ISIS’ collapse: 2017-2018” (2-3 players / 9 turns)
· “Iraq invades Kuwait again” (2 players / 6 turns)
· “Turkish military intervention in Iraq and Syria” (2-3 players / 9 turns);
· “The struggle for Kurdish independence” (2-4 players / 9 turns);
· “Limited war between Iran and Saudi Arabia” (2 players / 9 turns)
· “Israel attacks Hezbollah: Regional war in Syria” (2-5 players / 6 turns);
· “Fitna: the global war in the Middle East” (2-6 players / 12 turns)
