"Welcome, young Students, to Medieval Academy, our Chivalry School. For the next six months, we will train you. You will
have to excel at the jousts and the tournaments, you will have to perfect your studies in the codices of our library, and even go on perilous quests in the service of our fair king. During these sessions, you will gain or lose points, and, at the end of the semester, the Student who earned the most points will be knighted by King Arthur himself!"
Here comes the new edition of Medieval Academy, all fresh and revamped!
Medieval Academy is a fast, dynamic family game. It is a simple card game with very intuitive rules : when you play a red 3 card, you move 3 spaces on the red track.
The core of the game is the drafting of the cards between the players. Choices have to be made at each turn. The gameplay is fluid, as everyone plays at the same time, and it is very interactive.
The depth of the gameplay comes from thoughtful timing and
risk taking in each round versus long term planning for the whole game.
The back of the board offers another version, more strategic and challenging for experienced players.
There is also a solo mode offering different levels of difficulty.
It is a game in which players will moan and grump about fate, the other players and the world in general. :)

Expands | Medieval Academy |
This is a Medieval Academy expansion. These variants require the Medieval Academy game. All the basic rules apply except for the modifications described in the rules that come with this expansion. You can play in the same time with as many variants as you want.
Gallantry Board
In disc’s order on the Gallantry side of the board, each squire chooses and applies one or two bonus. He places his disc on chosen bonuses,in order to make those bonus unavailable for the others squires. On less than 4 squires games, only first and
second squires earn bonus.
Magic Board
As on Gallantry board, on Magic board, squires don’t
directly win Chivalry points, but Magic board allows them
to move forward on any board. On scoring, (turns 2 and 5, after Gallantry scoring), only the 3 first ranked squires (or he 2 first ranked in 3 players games) earn cases bonus ; they could move forward their own discs by a number of cases according to their position on Magic board.
The move can be split on one or several
boards. Move order :
1)First, the 3rd ranked squire on Magic board.
2)After the 2nd ranked squire on Magic board.
3)Finally, the first ranked squire on Magic board.
There is a reminder on the top of the Magic board
At the end of Turn 2, after the scoring phase, all the discs go
back to square 0 on Magic board.

"Squires, welcome to Medieval Academy, the place where you'll be trained to become a knight. You'll have to master the arts of Jousts and Tournaments, complete dangerous Quests, and polish your Education. You'll also have to serve the king, and show that you have a sense of Charity and Gallantry. Only one of you will be knighted by King Arthur, so it's time to show what you’re capable of." —Father Advevan Nicolus Emilius, chairman of the Medieval Academy.
In Medieval Academy, a "family+" game, each player takes the role of a squire who wants to outdo the others in the different training categories to score Chivalry Points. To achieve this goal, during the six turns of the game, the players must wisely draft the cards that are the most useful to them and play them at the right time to move their discs up the training tracks.
At the end of turn VI, the squire who has the most Chivalry Points wins the game and is knighted by King Arthur!
