Franklin 1864 allows gamers to refight the historic battles of Spring Hill and Franklin, Tennessee in 1864, using the popular Civil War Brigade Battle Series of rules. Franklin 1864 is Volume V, following Antietam, Shiloh, The Seven Days Battles, and Gettysburg.

The Battle of Spring Hill was a trap laid by Confederate General Hood in his drive on Nashville, trying to trap part of the Army of the Ohio under Union General Schofield. The historic battle did not go as Hood hoped with the Union forces escaping to Franklin relatively unscathed.

The Battle of Franklin the following day, November 30, was a last ditch by Hood trying to catch the Union forces with their back to a river and the bridges damaged. A lack of time, artillery, and planning led to a vicious Confederate defeat with 14 Confederate generals killed and 55 regimental commanders. The battle was a close run affair for the amount of time involved a Union deployment mistake almost giving Hood the victory he so desparately sought.

Fight each battle separately or combine to refight the 2 days together in a linked mini-campaign.

Players will command either the Confederate or Union armies as they battle to destroy opposing forces and capture key terrain objectives to determine victory.

Command the pride of the German Navy in Bismarck Solitaire, an Original Book-wargame by Worthington Publishing. Lead the German ships Bismarck, Prinz Eugen, and U-boat support as they take on the determined Royal Navy with one goal, Sink the Bismarck!

You have 8 missions of varying objectives and difficultly, plus two training cruises. Each mission gives you 3 tries to best the Royal Navy. Some missions require you to find convoys, others expect you to sink a few British warships, while some just hope your ships can survive the sortie.

Bismarck Solitaire is a pen and book wargame. In the book you get a map and orders. You roll dice to see events, move your ship, fight battles, and resolve events. The only thing you must provide is 2 dice, a pen, and a sense of adventure.

A turn is this:

Roll 2 dice and cross reference it to a chart to see events.
Resolve the events.
Fight any battles.
Plot your movement on the map.

Each mission gives your victory conditions. Once you obtain your victory conditions the game is over. Play missions over and over as no two games are the same.

In Waterloo Solitaire you take the role of Napoleon commanding the French army against an opposing Allied autonomous player side, referred to as the Allied BOT side. And you take the role of Wellington, commanding the Allied army against a French BOT side. Each opposing BOT side is rated for its skill.

The game uses a similar system with Waterloo Solitaire Bookgame, except you will use cubes, and a hardmounted game board to track your movements and attacks in the game.

Players win by destroying enemy formations, normally 2 to 3 depending on the side.

Command the pride of the German Navy in Bismarck Solitaire by Worthington Publishing. Lead the German ships Bismarck, Prinz Eugen, and U-boat support as they take on the determined Royal Navy with one goal, Sink the Bismarck!

It's a sea hunt game. As the German commander you are hunting convoys and British warships. You are also hunted by the British Navy that outguns you and has every ship and aircraft it can muster looking for you. It is played by a crafty AI BOT that is focused on only one thing, Sink the Bismarck!

The game comes with a double sided game board with enhanced graphics. One side of the board is the North Atlantic at a strategic level with its convoys and all the British warships involved in protecting them from the Bismarck. The other side of the game board is of the Denmark Strait where the Bismarck needs to breakout into the Atlantic and British ships are there to stop them before the make the open seas.

Win by sinking enemy ships, raiding convoys and making it back to port in France before being sunk yourself.

"1759: Siege of Quebec (Second Edition)" is the remake of the first wargame of the "Worthington's Great Sieges" game series. These wargames highlight command decisions for players against a solitaire game engine opponent. They have been designed for easy set up and quick game play. Game unit placement is shown on the game board and units are wooden markers representing troop and ship formations. The game was developed for solitaire play and players can play as either the French or the British against the solitaire player game engine. There is also a two player version of the game. Both sides require you to make great decisions based on good strategy, keep your wits about you when orders do not turn out well, and press on to victory.

Any time one side's morale reaches zero during a turn, the other side wins the game.
Also, the French win if they hold out until the British Navy departs.
And the British can win by taking Quebec.

Highlights of 1759: Siege of Quebec (2nd Edition):

New art style to the game board and cards
New rules and game pieces for artillery
New white French/red British/brown Indian pieces
Updated rules

STRUGGLE FOR EUROPE 1939-1945 is a fast-paced, light, two-player, card-driven strategy wargame set in Europe during World War II that allows you to re-fight the entire struggle for Europe at a strategic level in under two hours.

The game starts in 1939 with the Axis player poised to expand rapidly against the Allies (the Polish, French, and British).

Which way to go and who to attack are the early decisions. Can they capture enough to win the game before the first reshuffle.
Game play uses point-to-point movement and area control, hidden army strengths, and decks of cards providing the command choices; there are no dice. The Axis and Allied players each have their own card decks, reflecting the relative strengths and weaknesses of both sides. Each player will have the chance to be the aggressor and defender trying to win the game by the time they have cycled through their card deck for the last time. Victory is achieved by having accumulated the required amount of victory points by capturing victory locations.

As the decks are cycled, the Allied player adds some better quality cards, with the Russians and Americans entering play during the 1st and 2nd reshuffle. The Axis player adds will burn through his early game quality cards, becoming weaker as his resources dwindle. The underlying game mechanism is one of "deck destruction" rather than the more normal deck-building.

Cards have multiple uses and can be recycled if used one way but during the course of the game you have to decide which cards are going to be permanently sacrificed from your deck cycle to allow you to build units.

In 2007 we published COWBOYS. It was a very popular title and sold out. Now in 2020 we are Kickstarting COWBOYS II - Cowboys and Indians Edition, in all its 6 shooter glory. Cowboys II is a NEW game based on our original Cowboys game. This is an all new game with more Cowboys AND Indians !
COWBOYS II has larger reconfigured 11 x 11 mounted boards, new game boards, SOLITAIRE rules, a wagonload of new episodes, new player mats, new characters, a role playing system (play one character through any number of scenarios).

New to the Cowboys game system are Indians. They are numerous and are very skilled at hidden movement. The game has some great episodes with attacks on settlements, outposts, etc. Some episodes with Indians include:
Battle of Adobe Walls
Circle the Wagons
Yellowstone
Stagecoach

Players take control of between 1 to 10 characters, maneuvering them across the boards trying to complete the objectives for the scenarios. Sometimes its escaping, sometimes it’s finishing off all the other Cowboys, it varies by scenario.

The new chit draw mechanic means no two turns or games will ever play the same.

The game is playable by 1 to 10 players depending on the episode being played. With a wagonload of scenarios, plus easy design it yourself episodes possible, the action is never ending.

TARAWA 1943 is a solitaire, card driven game on the invasion of Japanese controlled Tarawa by the 2nd Marine Division. Each turn the USMC player will activate one of his battalions (there are 8 in the game). During it's activation it can move, attack, and attempt to regroup. The USMC player further has a 3 card hand (out of a deck of 30 cards) that gives additional resources to the player (naval support, air support, engineers, tanks, etc). The USMC player can play 1 card during their turn and 1 card during the Japanese turn.

As a battalion is activated it reduces its cohesion (reflecting wear and tear, exhaustion). Battalions are further reduced in cohesion due to Japanese attacks and the marines "pushing their attacks".

After the USMC player finishes their activation, the Japanese turn begins with the flip of a card. From this the USMC player will face fire attacks, banzai attacks, bunkers, cross fires, infiltration, and more. The card engine will ensure an ever changing game and no two will play the same.

The game will give the historical starting invasion site, however, we have included the alternate "south beach" landing possibility, that the Japanese had expected and prepared.
Victory is achieved by taking the island as quickly as possible while minimizing casualties. This was the first invasion of the US island hopping strategy and high losses or a prolonged fight could have led to a cancellation of the island hopping campaign.

It is the summer of 1814, and the British Navy controls the Chesapeake Bay. With that navy is a small professional army, fresh from the battlefields of Europe and Napoleonic warfare, ready to land on the shores along the bay and bring this war to an end. Their targets are Norfolk, Washington and Baltimore, the heart of American ship building and maritime industry. Standing in their way is a large disorganized militia and a handful of marines. The historical campaign resulted in Washington being burned, but now the decisions are yours...

The "War of 1812 Campaigns" uses the game system from Worthington's "Blue and Gray" series adapted to this era. "War Along the Chesapeake" is Volume 1 and will be followed by Volume 2: War Along the Great Lakes and Volume 3: War Along the Gulf Coast.

Volume II in the War of 1812 Game Series follows up the successful limited edition of War Along the Chesapeake (Volume I).

War Along the Gulf Coast allows gamers to refight Andrew Jackson's campaign against British General Pakenham's British invaders. The game uses the proven Blue & Gray combat system where morale is as important as the number of soldiers.

You are limited in how many units you may move based on the number of action points you receive, plus a random number of action points based on your commander, and play an Event Card, not necessarily in that order. This means no two games will play alike. Movement is location to location. When the two armies end a move in the same location a battle occurs and the action moves to the battle board.

War Along the Great Lakes is Volume III in Worthington Games War of 1812 series.

The game uses blocks and point to point movement to recreate the fighting along the Great Lakes during the War of 1812 between the United States and Great Britain. A British loss in the Great Lakes could have easily meant Canada would be part of the United States today.

During each turn each player receives action points plus random action points to activate his units for movement and combat. During combat each unit rolls dice and scores hits on opponent units. Careful planning is required not to get trapped.

Victory is determined by occupation of key terrain features and elimination of enemy units.

Due to the randomness of the action points no two games play the same. For this reason the game plays great solitaire (no solo engine - but by playing both sides).

Expansion For Hold the Line
Hold the Line: The French and Indian War

From the website:

As a prelude to the American Revolutionary War, the French and Indian War shaped many of the future leaders and laid the seeds for that conflict. The French and Indian War expansion for the Hold the Line contains the following:
  • 8 page color rule/scenario book
  • French army counters
  • Indian Warrior counters
  • British Roger's Rangers type counters
  • New hex tiles for Indian villages, open water, boats, forts and additional forest terrain tiles

The expansion has the followings 5 French and Indian War scenarios:

Battle on Snowshoes March 13, 1758: Rogers Rangers are ambushed by combined French and Indian forces. Greatly outnumbered, the Rangers must survive until night to make their escape.

Louisbourg June 8 1758: Against waiting French forces, British General Wolfe leads an amphibious landing of British light infantry and rangers to establish a beach head on Isle Royale.

Montmorecy Falls July 31, 1759: Combined British land and amphibious attack against the entrenched French army around Montmorency Falls in an effort to break the stalemate during the Quebec campaign.

Ste-Foy April 28, 1760: The French army attempt to recapture Quebec from the weakened British army in one of the hardest fought conventional battles of the French and Indian War.

Bloody Bridge July 31, 1763: British relief forces attack Pontiac's Indian village along the Detroit river in an attempt to lift the siege of Fort Detroit during Pontiac's war.

Philadelphia 1777 is a war game about the American Revolutionary War campaign led by British General Howe against the American colonist led by General Washington. It is a point to point movement war game using blocks with labels for the military units. The game uses the system from our previous games, New York 1776, Trenton 1776, and Saratoga 1777.

Each turn both the American and British player will receive activation points with which to activate either groups of blocks moved by a leader, or individual blocks. When blocks of both sides end a move in a location together then a battle occurs.

The game has some excellent historical “chrome” mixed in.

There are lots of great strategic decisions for both sides in the game. Best of all it plays in 2 hours so you have time to play two games in an evening.

NAPOLEON RETURNS 1815 is our first game using our action point/battle card system. We've combined several ideas into one fast playing game of Napoleon's 1815 Waterloo Campaign.

With fewer than 20 pieces on the board, strategic movement based on action point allocation, a unique twist on a classic battle card system, the game plays in under 90 minutes. The game is playable by 2 to 3 players and several games can be played in an evening. Great for Tournament play!
Each side receives a set number of action points to move pieces and battle. Each piece on the board is a corps in the French, Anglo-Allied, and Prussian armies, so each side has 4 - 8 pieces on board. As your pieces move they will gain fatigue, and as they battle they gain fatigue and casualties.

The battle system is card play, matching the cards played based on the type of units in the corps (infantry, cavalry, or artillery). Victory is determined by the capture of terrain and eliminating enemy units.

The great Axis warships Bismarck, Tirpitz and others contest Britain's best while the United States fleet adds its might to the fight as the war progresses. “When Barbarossa commences, the world will hold its breath and make no comment.” – Adolf Hitler.

Now you get the chance to refight the greatest campaign in history as you direct the armies of Germany and Russia from 1941 to the bitter end of World War II. Using blocks with labels as the military units you will maneuver your forces to best destroy those of the enemy.
As the German player you must push rapidly east trying to capture the key cities of Leningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad, not only fighting the Russian army but the winter as well. And as the Russian player you must withstand the German sledgehammer attacks as you trade ground for time, marshalling your forces for the counterattack that will drive the enemy backwards.

Russia ended up winning but history did not have to end like this, can you do better?

HOLDFAST EASTFRONT 1941 – 1945 will come with a large hard mounted game map.

From the manufacturers Kickstarter campaign description:

In 2012 we printed the first game under Worthington Publishing. It was Volume I in the World War II Campaign Series, HOLDFAST RUSSIA 1941-1942. We sold out of HOLDFAST RUSSIA 1941-42 last year and have had calls for a reprint ever since. Well rather than just reprint we decided to remaster the game with a larger hard mounted game board and expand the game to cover the entire war in the east.

We are now printing it as a new game, Volume V in the World War II Campaign Series, HOLDFAST: EASTFRONT 1941-1945. The game has been extended to 1945. The board has been expanded to push out to Berlin.

New units that appear later in the war are included such as Russian Air, and SS units.

The remastered edition will include the original game that ends in 1942 and a game that covers the whole war; To Moscow and Back 1941-1945. It also has 3 additional scenarios:

1. Fall Blau and beyond 1942-1945
2. Kursk 1943-1945
3. The destruction of Army Group Center 1944-1945.
