It's cherry blossom season. As the beautiful sakura petals fall, a calm tranquility lingers in the air. It's the perfect calm before the storm: welcome to the Sakura Slam!

In this standalone sequel to Kabuto Sumo, players return as the wrestling Kabutomushi ("helmet bugs") and compete to knock off their opponents on an all-new square arena. The coin-pushing mechanic returns, but with a new platform, characters, pillars, and powers.

New Arena Features:

NOTCHED PUSHING PLATFORM
In Sakura Slam, you must push from the corners of the arena. That makes it harder to focus completely on defense, as you can’t always push your piece away from the edge—this means less stalemates and more body slams.

FIXED CORNERS
Four fixed corner posts loom over each match. Using these posts, can you better predict how an aggressive maneuver will play out? Alternatively, if you’re near the edge: can you “rope-a-dope” and use the post defensively?

TAGGING CORNERS
When you push from a corner you haven’t pushed from before, you place a marker, "tagging" that corner. Place one on each of the four posts to take a second push action immediately.

Will you try and activate this power every four turns? Or, will you save one corner un-tagged until you have the perfect, epic, game-winning setup created?

All but two characters are compatible with the original Kabuto Sumo.

Star Fighters: Rapid Fire combines the excitement of real-time dice rolling with tactical starship combat. Each player hops into the cockpit of their own starfighter and duels it out in a dog fight to prove who is the superior pilot. The game plays in multiple modes 1 vs 1, 3 player free-for-all, 2 vs 2, or a solo mode where a single starfighter attacks an orbital space station.

In the real-time phase all players roll and re-roll their command dice simultaneously, and assign them to the various functions of their starfighter. When a player has fully charged systems and is ready to act they may end the real-time phase by hitting the big red button and yelling, “Fire!” This means all players must cease rolling and allocating dice and move to the tactical phase.

In the tactical phase players then alternate activating the systems they have charged. This allows them to fire torpedoes or lasers at the enemy, manoeuvre around the map, adjust their shields, and other actions unique to their chosen starfighter.

Players must balance the pressure of real-time play while making good tactical and strategic decisions. The game only ends when one starfighter is destroyed. The pilot that hits the finishing blow gets all the glory and is the winner.

A Game of Staging Ridiculous Interventions about Nonsensical Problems.

Caring friends and family have all gathered “because they LOVE you”. That’s how it always starts. That’s when you suddenly realize there’s a problem - and it’s YOU. You’re shocked and clueless, which is why your loved ones have taken it upon themselves to carefully broach the subject. Naturally, no one wants to just come right out and say it. So they keep hinting at it, hoping you’ll catch on eventually. But will you? Or will this Intervention fail?

In this game, players take turns being the focus of an intervention by drawing a Problem card with a nonsensical problem like, "Uncontrollable Interpretive Dancing" or "Neurotic Inability to Turn Right". They can't see the card, but all the Concerned Friends and Family can. Friends will give obscure clues that hint at the problem, without giving it away. The sooner the Intervened can guess the problem, the more points they'll score. The longer the Concerned Friends keep them guessing, the more points the Friends can earn. Each of the three rounds have a unique format for giving clues, Broaching the Subject, The Emotional Appeal and Offering a Solution. But if the Intervened cannot guess their problem by the end of the third round, no one will score any points, having failed to help their friend.
