In 1796, the young French Republic was no longer at bay, having knocked Prussia, the Netherlands and Tuscany out of the War of the First Coalition. However, the French were still facing their long-time and toughest enemies: England and Austria. Challenging England on the high seas was out of question, because the French fleet was no longer a match for the Royal Navy. Therefore, the French Directory ruled that the best chance for victory was a decisive land campaign to force Austria to sue for peace. Two large French armies commanded by experienced Generals Jourdan and Moreau were to advance into Germany toward Vienna. In the meantime, a small French force was to undertake a diversionary movement in Northern Italy. This operation, on a lesser theater, was entrusted to a young Corsican General named Napoleon Bonaparte.

"Bonaparte in Italy: The Castiglione Campaign, 1796" is played on a point-to-point map representing the territory of the provinces of Mantua, Brescia and Verona and uses a simple system stressing the importance of command and supply. Game counters represent Brigades and historical Leaders that fought during the campaign. Combats take into account the role of leadership, cavalry and artillery. The players must carefully monitor the cohesion status of their troops throughout the campaign and choose the most appropriate time to use ‘Forced Marches’ and ‘Marches to the Sound of the Guns’ to win the decision. Additional chrome includes rules for the siege of Mantua, bridge destruction, garrisons, cavalry pursuits and optional rules for Leader casualties, the Fog of War and reconnaissance.

A MATTER OF HONOR The Battle of Le Bourget - Oct 30, 1870
Long before it became the site of Charles Lindbergh's landing after his first air crossing of the Atlantic Ocean and later of a renowned international Airshow, the town of Le Bourget, in the outskirts of Paris, was the scene of a bloody battle between the French Army and the Prussian forces besieging Paris in October 1870, during the Franco-Prussian War.
A Matter of Honor is an action-packed two-player tactical board game using a simple but effective area impulse activation system. The game captures the dramatic intensity of the Battle of Le Bourget and its desperate house to house fighting.
Added chromes include random event cards featuring historical events players may use to influence the outcome of the battle.
Units are companies of elite Prussian Guards, facing determined French Regulars and National Guardsmen in a fight to the finish and for a matter of honor.

The Lost Valley – The Siege of Dien Bien Phu is a solitaire dice and card-driven board game of tactics and resources management about the battle of Dien Bien Phu, which saw the defeat of the French Expeditionary Corps in Indochina by the Vietnamese People’s Army in 1954. This battle signaled the beginning of the end for the French Colonial Empire and the first steps towards independence for Vietnam.

You will assume the role of Colonel Christian de La Croix de Castries, Commander of Dien Bien Phu’s garrison. You are besieged by five Viet Minh Divisions under General Võ Nguyên Giáp.

The French gamble to establish an air and land base deep in enemy territory in order to draw the Viet Minh into a decisive battle and destroy them with superior French firepower has badly backfired. You are now encircled, outnumbered and outgunned. You will need to carefully manage supplies, skillfully use your elite units as well as your air, armor and artillery assets while keeping the garrison’s morale high in order to hold out as long as possible. All of this in the face of adverse events and relentless Viet Minh Assaults while hoping that your resistance will have a favorable and decisive impact on the 1954 Geneva Conference peace talks.

The Lion of Khartoum: Gordon's Last Stand , designed by Jacques Rabier, is a solitaire, card-driven board game of strategy and resource management about the siege of Khartoum from February 1884 to January 1885. The Player assumes the role of Major-General Charles “Chinese” Gordon, Governor and self-appointed defender of Khartoum, besieged by the Mahdi's Dervish rebel forces. As the Player, you will have to use your few military units and meager resources skillfully to hold out long enough for British relief forces to come to the rescue…or gloriously die like Gordon himself did.

The game is not intended to be a totally accurate simulation of the siege of Khartoum but is meant to create an interactive narrative and gaming experience in which the Player is required to make crucial decisions to have any chance of protecting the city and its inhabitants from the wrath of the Dervishes. The Player must improve the city’s fortifications, build makeshift Gunboats, mount daring raids and sorties, and tactically respond with military units and leaders to prevent the Mahdi's army from capturing key city defensive locations and, ultimately, the Governor’s Palace. All the while, you must manage to keep up the city’s morale in the face of adverse events and the continuing effects of the siege.

Are you up to the challenge, Gordon Pasha?
