In this second expansion kit for designer Chris Taylor’s tiny titan of a 4X game, Imperial Stars II, designer/developer Alan Emrich expands the boundaries of gameplay between the warring human factions. Building on the first expansion kit (which is required to fully enjoy this second expansion kit), there are new worlds to conquer with the addition of two new maps, each featuring coveted planetary systems (yielding double value). These balanced maps have proven very popular for their “narrative” they engender during gameplay.
New Event and Technology cards broaden the story scope of the game, particularly with the introduction of Allies to the mix of outcomes. The Thaeon Order and the Free Settlers are off-map rivals who might send forces – but only sufficient to nudge the balance of power in your conflict. A new “Event +6 Ops” marker for each side increases the frequency that Events occur, so there are a few more surprises in every game!
New player aid mats now uncouple the Alpha and Beta Zone costs from the map, so that you can experiment with different Ops costs to retrieve ships from them, and each mat includes a cost summary in the Scrap Yard for easy reference.
As a final touch, we have included cubes to replace Planet markers on the board. In this way, you can draw Planet markers from a cup to ensure randomness. All this adds more epic to your space epic, as it can only be told in Imperial Stars II.

Aliens vs. Zombies ("AvZ"), by designer Chris Taylor, is a two-player game about the life and death (mostly death) battle between two natural enemies: Aliens and Zombies. The Aliens attacked the Earth and destroyed 99% of humanity using orbital death rays. However, the weapon interacted strangely with human DNA and caused an unforeseen mutation! Within 24 hours of death, the recently dead arose and slowly shambled aimlessly with purpose in the general direction of the Alien attackers to take their revenge.

Aliens vs. Zombies is a small, low-complexity wargame for beginners, children and light-hearted fans of aliens and/or zombies. The aliens are invading a small town. A side effect of their weapons used to conquer humanity is the reanimation of the newly dead, who are out for revenge!

The alien player has fewer units but has the advantage of superior weaponry and armor. Zombies are plentiful and are divided into different types: rotting, tough and fast. Both sides can move or attack during their turn. Each side has one unique action: aliens can blast away with exploding dice and zombies can chomp their opponents to create new allies.

Each turn a tile is revealed with a number of zombie spawns and special events. After the 8th turn, the zombie dead (those deader than usual) are counted to determine the victor.

Which side will you choose? Choose wisely and conquer, in Aliens vs. Zombies!

The two men knelt in the shadow of the rock outcropping and gazed at the destruction in the crater below them. Combat reporters, they made their living with words, but this time words failed them. Moonbase Alpha is a simulation of lunar combat in an alternative history between two exo-planetary private corporations that have hired private "security" companies to enforce their territorial and intellectual property rights. In Moonbase Alpha, the first player to inflict enough casualties on his or her opponent to drive their stock price down or earn enough profit to maximize their own stock price wins a major victory. The corporation with the highest stock price at the end of negotiations wins a minor victory.
