In Looot, you need to gather resources and capture buildings to develop your fjord. Fill your longships and complete your construction sites in order to rack up your victory points. Store up the most riches, and you’ll be crowned Jarl of the Vikings!
Setup:
Assemble the gameboard using Landscape boards, placing 2 Houses, 2 Watchtowers, and 3 Castles in their corresponding spaces.
Place the Trophy board and 5 Trophies along one edge of the gameboard.
Place the Ocean board along one edge and put 30 Longships into a bag, drawing out 5 and placing them on Ocean spaces.
Create a reserve for Resources (Axes, Wood, Sheep, and Gold).
Each player selects a color and takes components: 1 Fjord, 13 Vikings, and 3 Shields.
Shuffle and distribute random Construction Site tiles (Ports, Altars, Jarl Palaces) to each player.
The player who lives furthest north goes first.
How to Play:
Placing a Viking (mandatory):
Vikings must be placed adjacent to another Viking or a Longship.
Vikings cannot be placed on a Resource space already occupied by another Viking.
Take a corresponding Resource tile from the reserve and place it on an empty space on your Fjord.
Check for capturing a Building; play passes to the next player if out of Vikings.
Capturing a Building (conditional):
Different rules for capturing Houses, Watchtowers, and Castles.
Buildings:
Houses: Capture by placing a Viking adjacent to a House.
Watchtowers: Capture by connecting two Watchtowers with Vikings of your color.
Castles: Capture by chaining at least 4, 8, or 12 Vikings of your color, with at least one adjacent to a Castle.
Longships:
Selecting a Longship (optional): Place on an empty space on your Fjord and draw another Longship for the Ocean board.
Filling Longships: Fill with indicated Resources to earn bonuses; unfilled Longships lose 5 victory points at the end.
Using a Shield (optional):
Use when placing a Viking for a specific advantage; flip the Shield after use.
Construction Sites:
Three types in your Fjord; complete by placing required Resources and Buildings adjacent to them.
Completed Construction Sites earn victory points.
Claiming a Trophy (optional):
At the end of your turn, claim a Trophy if you have enough Axes.
Place the Trophy on your Fjord with the victory points side visible.
Game End:
After all players have placed their Vikings, calculate victory points.
Add points for Castles, Watchtowers, Houses, Gold, Sheep, Wood, completed Construction Sites, and claimed Trophies.
Subtract 5 points for each unfilled Longship.
Player with the most points becomes the next Jarl; ties broken by highest value Trophy or shared victory if no tiebreaker.

Family | Vikings |
Vikings on Board is a family-strategy/worker-placement game in which your objective is to set sail with your clan of Vikings on board the ships best supplied for a successful voyage, while simultaneously placing bets on which clan you think will control each ship as they set sail.
Ships are divided into three sections: the front (bow), the middle (body), and the end (stern). During the course of the game, you will place supplies on the ships’ bows, while moving around their body pieces so that your clan has majority control of a ship when it sets sail. Stern pieces are used to show which ships have already set sail.
Each turn, the active player will perform one of the remaining available actions. Actions include: taking first pick of actions next round, rearranging ships' pieces (x4), placing bets on ships (x2), adding supplies to a ship (x2), increasing the value of supplies in the market, or setting sail.
When a ship sets sail, players will share its supplies in order of how many times their clan's shield appears on the body pieces of that ship. Starting with the player with the most shields, players will claim a supply token of their choice from the bow of the ship and place it facedown on their scoring circle. These supply tokens will score points based on their value in the market at the end of the game. Additionally, if a player placed a bet on the clan that had majority control of the ship, then they take their winning bet and place it facedown on their scoring circle.
The game ends after seven ships have set sail. Players calculate their final scores by adding together the value of their supply tokens with the value of their winning bets. The player with the most points wins.

In a distant time – so far in the future that either global warming or technical progress is so advanced that windmills are going swimmingly in the antarctic climate – the rising sea level and increased resource consumption has driven mankind to increase investment in polar research. The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research sees an increasingly creative interpretation of the Antarctic Treaty System.
Your objective in Antarctica is to develop research centers in Antarctica and to mine resources – for research purposes only, of course. The sun orbits Antarctica counter-clockwise, and each ship it thaws moves on for scientific progress. At the end of the game, victory points for all kinds of majorities are granted. Will your consort be the one that gained a fortune ... er, has done most to rescue mankind?
Turn order is determined by the sun. Whenever it shines on one of your ships, you may erect buildings, recruit new scientists, build more ships, or do scientific research. The game ends when all buildings have been erected, or when one player has placed his last scientist.

Every one hundred moons, members from different tribes gather to sculpt new totems. The totems they create represent the values of their family, village, courage and culture. The tribe that makes the most prestigious totem poles wins the contest...
In Wakanda, players compete to create valuable totem poles, but the value of the poles is determined as much by where they stand as by what's in them. Each player starts the game with three headdresses. Six of eight village tiles are placed in a row, with three of the tiles tilted 90º to show that they're out of play; each tile has a unique scoring rule on it, and that rule will apply for all of a player's totem poles if he acquires that tile.
On a turn, a player first draws one totem pole from the bag; the game includes 21 totem pole pieces: one eagle, two chiefs, three tomahawks, four animal skins, five teepees and six suns. The player then either places one of his totem pole pieces on an available village tile OR places one of his headdresses on an existing totem pole to claim it; in the latter case, he places this tile in front of himself and tilts the next village tile in line (if any) to make it available for play.
Once all six poles have been claimed, the players tally their score based on the rules on their tiles, e.g. score 3 points per animal skin on all of your poles or score 2 points per piece for your tallest pole. High score wins.

Vinci, late 15th century: Someday Leonardo will become the great inventor and painter that we know so well today, but right now he is a young, exuberant, and inventive boy. He is always inventing the most incredible creations just by observing the world around him.
In Leonardo, players must collect inventions, gathering the right materials (i.e., cards) for each one. Each invention has a point value based on how complex it is and based on the required materials. Before starting the game, place six collection cards and three invention cards on the matching spaces on the game board. Place the three stand-up character pawns on the correct positions around the invention cards. All players share these characters and can use any of them that they want each turn.
On a turn, each player simultaneously reveals one of three character cards and one of three movement cards. The first player moves his chosen character clockwise around the circle the number of spaces shown on his movement card, then:
The remaining players take their turns in clockwise order in the same manner, then the player to the left of the first player becomes the first player for the next turn.
If no invention or collection cards are available to fill spaces on the board, the game ends immediately. Players score points equal to the value of their inventions, plus 1 point for each material card they still have. The player with the highest score wins!
