The Event Horizon expansion provides a new way to play Catacombs Conquest. The Sword and Skull team card decks from the base game are replaced with the decks from this expansion. Each card has two shot sequences: a primary shot sequence that can be played immediately and a secondary shot sequence that must be activated by matching a "star sign" symbol. Each player has a set of five Leader cards that start the game face-up in front of them. Players then build their deck by choosing two sets of cards to play with from their team (fighters, spell casters, hunters, creatures, or explorers). Players must play a card from their hand (or flip over one of their Leader cards) to perform the card's primary sequence and may choose to play another card to activate the primary card's secondary shot sequence (a Leader card can also be used for this purpose). Anytime a player cannot draw a card, their discarded cards are reshuffled. The expansion adds the leech shot and new rules for the fireball, missile, and wave ranged shots. It also introduces the new "Dot" connector which enables *both* Character discs to perform a shot. The game features some new characters including the Dwarven Warrior, Siren, Oozing Maw, Stone Sentinel and Battle Robot.

Monster Pit is *not* a dexterity game! It features tableau building, dice drafting, and hand management. Monster Pit marks the start of a new dungeon crawl experience from Elzra, with this first installment being a fully co-operative, fantasy adventure game set in the world of Catacombs. During the game, loyal Captains must rally their forces to defend the Citadel against the emerging threat of a creature from the deep. Think Gandalf rallying the forces of Minas Tirith in Return of the King.

This is not a tower defense game, but blends several mechanisms including dice drafting (there are custom dice and rolls can be mitigated), tableau building (the player boards are extra large to organize the various cards), and worker placement (in terms of the various buildings your Captain will visit).

Your Captain’s tableau will include soldiers, wizards, heroes, mounts, and wyverns. Some of these characters are for offensive purposes (attacking the Monster etc) and some for defensive purposes (building your resources including your dice pool). During the game player will also complete quests for the King, buy items from the Town Hall, ride a Mount, fight creatures in the streets of the Citadel, upgrade their Captain at the Armoury, visit the Dwarven Grotto for gold, and find helpful trinkets in the Fountain.

The game supports "true solo" (a solo player need only control one Captain), fully co-op multiplayer against the Monster, one vs one (one player controls the Captain, the other player controls the Monster), or one player (controlling the Monster) vs up to four Captains. All play modes feature long or short variants.

There are five monsters included in the game (Dragon, Enchantress, Behemoth, Vampire Queen, and Orc War Chief) both featuring "A" and "B" sides for greater challenge and variation.

Catacombs and Castles is a standalone game featuring a "Catacomb" team of heroes vs a "Castle" team of heroes. The game serves as an introduction to the Catacombs world and dexterity game system, so it features simplified, fast game play with some new mechanisms.

Catacombs is an action/dexterity-based adventure board game. One player controls the Overseer, controlling the monsters of the catacombs; the other player(s) control the four heroes who cooperatively try to defeat the monsters and eventually the Catacomb Lord. Each of the heroes has special abilities that must also be used effectively if they are to prevail.

The main mechanism of Catacombs is for the players to flick wooden discs representing the monsters and the heroes. Contact with an opposing piece inflicts damage, but missiles, spells, and other special abilities can cause other effects. When all of the monsters of a room have been cleared, the heroes can move further into the catacomb. Items and equipment upgrades can be purchased from the Merchant with gold taken from fallen monsters. The Catacomb Lord is the final danger that the heroes must defeat to win the game; conversely, the Overseer wins if all of the heroes are defeated. The game is designed for quick set-up and fast play within 30 to 60 minutes.
