Great integration of the theme!

I've only played through Chapter 1 so far, but it's entertaining! It definitely feels like playing through Choose Your Own Adventure Book, with some fun dice-roll skill checks and inventory items added in. I like that it's replayable, and that you can go back and explore areas that you missed the first time around.

The actual game system is pretty simple, which I think is good for younger players (and for adults playing with kids). It would be fun to play solo, too -- for any age! This isn't a deep gaming experience. For anyone seeking more involved puzzle-solving I might recommend "escape room" genre board games / card games, for a more skill-based co-operative narrative challenge maybe something like Eldritch Horror and games like that. I enjoy those games too, but this game fills a niche for a simple, short (one hour or less to play one of the five chapters, at least the first one was that long) story-based adventure.

There's another game in this series. I hope they make more!

OK but a bit of a Disappointment

I loved adventure books as a kid and was hoping this would let me relive the feeling of those adventures. Overall it was OK but not amazing. I found there was a lot of repetition going in circles to look for more loot and clues.
