The Quacks of Quedlinburg: The Herb Witches

We love the new books and extra ingredient. The 5th player and spill over bowl is great. The game has had a rebirth for us.
We're never going back to the base game.

While none of our family ever resort to the new herbs, we do like the small additions of the 3 witches and the overflow cup. The addition of the 6 point orange pieces is a big hit too!

I would recommend this expansion for those that are fans of the base game. It's not really a "must-have" expansion, as the original game is great on its own; but there are a few things added here that I really love. First, the 5th player board is great for my family. If you play with five regularly, than this is a definite buy. Second, I love the lotus ingredient and the upgraded pumpkin ingredient, which I will always include when I play Quacks. The additional ingredient boards are also welcome. But I think the witches may make things a little too easy, eliminating some tension as the game goes on, so I only play with them once in a while.

Not a bad expansion, just that it’s overpriced and somewhat underwhelming. It doesn’t add a lot to the base game as the titular‘Witches’ are take-it-or-leave-it at best.

I would only recommend this expansion to hardcore Quacks fans due to the value.

If you love Quacks this expansion is a must-buy! It adds some amazing modules that I find I would always include and also allows for a 5th player! Overall amazing expansion that just increases replayability!
