Quarto! has a 4x4 board and 16 pieces. Each piece has four dichotomous attributes – color, height, shape and consistency – so each piece is either black or white, tall or short, square or round, and hollow or solid. The object is to place the fourth piece in a row in which all four pieces have at least one attribute in common. The twist is that your opponent gets to choose the piece you place on the board each turn.

Great components quality, overall really and quick to play. It's for the people who like games in which you have to be concentrated make sure to imagine every possibility.

Pure Abstract

This won't be for everyone, but it's a cute game that can be left out on the coffee table. Given that it's a complete information abstract game, there's little here to hold a gamer's attention for long. It really is a pure "how many moves ahead can I see?" If that doesn't appeal, this isn't for you.
