In the adventure game North Wind, cities are suffering heavily under constant raids from pirates. As freelance trade captains, the players bring food and other goods to the cities, in addition to fighting the pirates whenever they encounter them. Fighting without cannons leads to poor results, however, and cannons are expensive. With each success, though, a player can better equip his three-dimensional ship and strengthen his crew.

In the end, the player who finds the best mix of trading and fighting will prove to be the victorious captain.

Quick game with replay ability!

This is a fun game, It works at 2 people really well. The ships and the components are a nice touch and are good quality. Worth the purchase!

Why You Might Like or Dislike North Wind

I like this game! Here are some thoughts on why you may or may not enjoy it as much as I do.Theme: If you enjoy nautical themes, there's a good chance you'll enjoy this game!Components: The 3-D ships are fun and help make this an immersive thematic experience. If you're a collector, you may want this game just for the cool ships. All the game components seem to be of good quality. Artwork: This whole game looks as awesome as the ships. The artwork on the tiles is vibrant and colourful.Luck: Your love or distaste for this game may hinge on how you feel about luck. There is a lot of luck in this game, from the shuffling of tiles to the rolling of dice. It can be thrilling or crushing, depending on which way the winds blow. The luck factor means that victories can sometimes be lopsided, but less experienced players always have a decent chance of winning, making this a good family game for those who don't care too much about the final score.Memory: If you struggle with memory you will struggle with this game, but if you have an average memory, don't be scared; it's really not too hard to remember the important things.Speed of Play: Quick thinkers and those who simply want to play fast will probably prefer this as a 2-player game. Higher player counts are slower (but I still find it interesting and not too slow).Reacting: This game presents many interesting choices. If you enjoy reacting to new opportunities and going where the wind takes you, give this game a shot!
